On March 20, 2008 at Bucharest, Meda Consulting organized the second edition of the Conference “Energy Efficiency, an Essential Condition towards a Sustainable Development”. The 2008 edition represented a continuation of the first edition's debates and had as main discussion subjects the internal energy market competitiveness, energy security and strategical directions in order to reduce the environmental impact.

Among the approached themes, counted: energy efficiency regulations, competitiveness framework, long term agreements, investment programs for the technological evolution, standards, electrical energy transmission and distribution, environmental protection and sustainable use of the resources.
