During 13th – 14th of October 2010 took place at Azuga, Prahova County – Romania, the 3rd edition of the Seminar „Drilling Well & Oil and Natural Gas Extraction. Environmental Protection Technologies”, organized by Meda Consulting and with the support as Main Partner of OMV Petrom.
The Seminar continued the previous debates, the purpose of 2010 edition beeing given by the major importance drilling has, due to present new challenges as financial climate or exploitation of deeper areas with high pressures and temperatures using new technologies according to environmental protection policies. Therefore, standards and regulations become more complex as new policies are approached. The industry must focus on legal frame improvement and using best practices and newest technologies in order to protect people and environment.
2010 edition reunited drilling experts in order to discuss subjects as sustaining E&P initiatives, specific legislation implementation, pollution prevention, reduction and control, new technologies and equipments for an efficient activity. Other proposed themes refer to advanced drilling technologies, cleaning methods for a better productivity, reducing operational risks, special services, safety systems, control and inspection systems for environmental protection as well as waste management.
