Meda Consulting organized during May 29th – 30th, 2008 at Predeal - Romania, the Conference “Petroleum Waste Management”.

The idea of this event appeared as a consequence of the pollution resulted from petroleum extraction activities, most of the petroleum waste being dangerous wastes. Another issue consists in the lack of an wastes database, which represents a negative aspect for wastes management.

The themes aborted during the Conference brought to discussion subjects as environmental protection activities settlement, petroleum waste management's legal frame, wastes and residues capitalizations as energy source, petroleum wastes characterization, affected areas investigation, monitoring underground waters technologies.
