During September 7th – 8th, 2007 at Mangalia, took place the first edition of the Conference “Renewable Energy Sources, Key towards a Sustainable Future”. The event brought to discussion renewable sources potential, strategic objectives regarding their capitalization, as well as financing possibilities of investment programs and projects. The Conference was organized by Meda Consulting toghether with Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry and had as Partners the companies Alfa Bit and GTZ.
With the Conference's occasion, “Renewable Energy Capital” title was given to Mangalia Municipality. The distinction was offered by ENERO – Center for Clean and Efficient Energy Promotion in Romania.
Also, during the same ceremony, the work “Energy Watch Report” was launched. The Report was realized at National Authority for Scientific Research solicitation, authors coordinator being Mr. Nicolae Vasile – Vice-president BCCI, President ENERO.
